Centers For New Horizons seeks a Development Manager to establish and grow a comprehensive fundraising program on Chicago’s South Side. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape strategy and execute across grants, individual giving, major gifts, and events to build a diversified philanthropic portfolio.

The role emphasizes strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with responsibility for building systems, cultivating relationships, and expanding CNH’s donor base to support long-term community impact.

Qualifications

• Five years of general fundraising or equivalent experience.
• Ability to build an early-stage development program and accelerate momentum.
• Strong writing skills and ability to craft compelling donor communications.
• Relationship-building with authenticity and credibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead grants, individual giving, major gifts, and events fundraising.
• Implement and grow a multiyear development plan with disciplined execution.
• Develop and manage donor pipelines and funder relationships.
• Partner with CEO and Board to engage donors at all levels.
