The Development Manager plays a critical role in assisting with the financial sustainability and growth of ICA. This position is responsible for creating and implementing annual fundraising strategies, cultivating and stewarding donor relationships, managing grant cycles, and overseeing special events. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a "small but mighty" team environment, balancing big-picture strategy with daily administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute annual fundraising plans to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns (annual appeal, events, online giving, peer-to-peer)
- Track and report progress toward fundraising goals using data-driven metrics
Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Manage donor database/CRM to ensure accurate records and reporting
- Develop and implement donor stewardship plans, including acknowledgements, reports, and engagement touchpoints
- Prepare donor communications such as appeals, impact reports, and thank-you letters
- Oversee and manage one time volunteer opportunities, in partnership with Volunteer Coordinators
- Manage external food drive logistics and coordination, in partnership with K-Tel Logistics team
- Support one-time event and volunteer opportunities
Safety, Quality & Values
- Follow ICA policies related to client service, confidentiality, and safety
- Support a trauma-informed, culturally responsive service environment
- Flag issues, questions, or improvement ideas to supervisors

Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience
- Demonstrated success in individual giving and/or annual fund campaigns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with donor databases/CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Bloomerang, Raiser’s Edge)
- Highly organized with strong project management skills
Preferred
- Experience working with boards on fundraising
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in food shelf, community pantry, or nonprofit marketing environments
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (a plus)
