Job summary

Catalyst Miami is seeking a Development Manager to support fundraising activities including grant proposals, reporting, annual giving, and events. The role collaborates with the Advancement team, Finance, and leadership to manage grants, track budgets, and help execute Be the Catalyst Summit, Give Miami Day, and other donor events, contributing to the organization's mission.

Qualifications

  • Professional working proficiency in oral and written English
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of fundraising or development experience
  • Knowledge of development/fundraising
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of web-based platforms

Responsibilities

  • Support management of grant proposals and grant reporting processes
  • Support online giving opportunities and donor management platforms
  • Collaborate with Senior Director of Advancement, department leads, and CEO on grant applications and grant reporting
  • Develop, write, and submit grant proposals
  • Maintain familiarity with past and current funded proposals and funding opportunities
  • Coordinate budgets as they relate to proposals and the organization
  • Work with Finance to track grants and donations
  • Assist planning and execution of fundraising events (Be the Catalyst Summit, Give Miami Day, fall donor event)
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Advancement on fundraising activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Advancement

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leaddonormanagementandrecognition,andcommunicationsincludingmessagedevelopment, appeal design, tracking of donors and list segmentation
  • Manageonlinegivingopportunitiesanddonormanagementplatform
  • Work with the Senior Director of Advancement, department leads, and CEO to manage grant application and grant reporting processes
  • Develop,write,andsubmitgrantproposals
  • Gainandmaintainfamiliaritywithpastandcurrentfundedproposalsandwithallorganization funding opportunities
  • Gainandmaintainanunderstandingofbudgetsastheyrelatetoproposalsandthe organization
  • WorkcollaborativelywiththeFinanceDepartmenttotrackandmaintainrecordsofgrants and donations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Language:ProfessionalworkingproficiencyinoralandwrittenEnglish
  • Education:Bachelor’sdegreeorequivalentexperience
  • Yearsofexperience:2years
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of web-basedplatforms
