We partner with local hospice providers to create a compassionate, 24-hour care environment for our guests and their families.

Position Overview

We are seeking a results-oriented Development Manager to drive our fundraising efforts and secure the long-term financial sustainability of our mission. In this role, you will be responsible for raising unrestricted revenue to meet our annual budget, cultivating strong relationships with donors, and managing community engagement initiatives. Success in this position is measured by your ability to achieve measurable fundraising results and meet strategic performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fundraising (60%): Lead efforts to meet the annual unrestricted fundraising budget. This includes securing at least 10 new corporate sponsorships annually, managing and submitting at least 15 grant applications per year (with a target 40% success rate), and growing our recurring donor base by 25 donors.
  • Donor Stewardship (20%): Manage donor cultivation by conducting four meaningful donor visits or cultivation meetings per week, contacting every major donor at least quarterly, and ensuring all donations are acknowledged within 48 hours. Maintain a donor retention rate of 65% and a donor value retention rate of 75%.
  • Marketing & Community Relations (10%): Enhance organizational visibility by publishing bimonthly newsletters, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date website, and supporting all fundraising events and campaigns. Actively grow the donor database by identifying qualified prospects.
  • Administration & Reporting (10%): Maintain accurate donor records using Little Green Light, submit monthly reports to committees, and ensure all grant reporting deadlines are met.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or non-profit development.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in database management (experience with Little Green Light is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently to meet specific performance-based targets.
  • A commitment to the mission of compassionate end-of-life care.
