Job summary

B'nai B'rith International is seeking a Development & Legacy Giving Manager to drive planned giving, grant writing, and donor stewardship. Reporting to the COO, you will coordinate with leadership to advance fundraising goals and manage legacy giving vehicles.

You will field inquiries, prepare gift illustrations, and identify prospects for targeted cultivation. This is a full-time, exempt role with comprehensive benefits in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive nonprofit development experience.
• Experience in planned giving, development operations, and grant writing strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of planned giving instruments and the legal and tax frameworks governing them.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day planned giving program - bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, and beneficiary designations
• Administer existing legacy giving vehicles, maintaining records, documentation, and income forecasts
• Field inquiries from prospects, attorneys, and advisors; use Crescendo Interactive to generate donor profiles, agreements, and gift illustrations
• Identify, cultivate, and steward planned giving prospects, and market legacy giving through print, digital, seminars, and one-on-one consultations
• Research aligned foundation and institutional funders; write grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
• Manage donor stewardship - acknowledgments, impact reports, recognition - and track pipelines in DonorPerfect

The Development & Legacy Giving Manager reports to the COO and works in coordination with the Vice President of Development & Strategic Initiatives to advance the organization's fundraising, with a primary focus on planned giving, grant writing, and donor stewardship.

Salary: $65,000-75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Full-time, exempt.
