Job summary

B’nai B’rith International in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Development & Legacy Giving Manager to advance the organization’s fundraising initiatives focused on planned giving, bequests, CRTs, and CGAs.

The role coordinates with senior leadership to drive donor engagement, manage legacy programs, and write compelling grant proposals, while leveraging CRM platforms to track pipelines and outcomes. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in nonprofit development work.
• Experience in planned giving, development operations, and grant writing strongly preferred.
• Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of planned giving instruments and the legal/tax frameworks that govern them.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the VP of Development to align fundraising strategy and priorities.
• Implement and manage the day-to-day activities of the planned giving program.
• Maintain records and income forecasts for legacy giving vehicles.
• Respond to inquiries from prospects, attorneys, and advisors with professionalism.
• Develop marketing materials and donor illustrations using Crescendo Interactive.
• Identify, cultivate, and steward planned giving prospects through personalized outreach.
• Promote legacy giving through print and digital communications and seminars.
• Support program campaigns and grants with timely submissions and reports.
