Job summary

Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture seeks a Development Manager to lead BRWIA’s fundraising strategy and community engagement, partnering with the Executive Director and grant team to sustain programs and visibility in the High Country. You will supervise the Communications & Outreach Coordinator to align messaging with development goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading donor engagement programs and fundraising campaigns.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple channels.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic fundraising plans with measurable outcomes.
• Proven ability to manage projects, supervise staff, and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead BRWIA’s comprehensive fundraising strategy including donor stewardship and major gifts.
• Supervise the Communications & Outreach Coordinator and align messaging with fundraising goals.
• Plan and execute BRWIA’s annual Savory Shindig and other stewardship events.
• Develop donor narratives and impact stories for appeals and reports.
• Oversee donor CRM data entry, reporting, and donor engagement analytics.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Grants Manager on annual reporting and grants.
