Job summary

The Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA) in Vermont seeks a Development Manager to lead and expand fundraising and development efforts. This part-time contracted role aims to identify new revenue, cultivate donors, pursue grants, and build sustainable support for GMHA's programs and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, development, or nonprofit management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with donors, sponsors, and volunteers.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of grant research and proposal-writing.
• Ability to develop organized donor records.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand GMHA's annual fundraising strategy.
• Identify new revenue sources and grant opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors.
• Coordinate donor communications and acknowledgments.
• Collaborate with staff and board on fundraising campaigns.
• Prepare development reports for leadership.
