Job summary

IGNITE in Huntsville, AL seeks a driven Development Lead to guide secure software architecture and cross-functional teams delivering mission-critical applications for Army and DoD partners. You will lead design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of GOTS/MOTS/COTS and web/data solutions in classified and unclassified environments.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years of relevant software architecture/development experience at the Senior/Lead level.
• Experience independently designing and developing new software products and major enhancements to existing systems.
• Experience leading large development teams and resolving complex systems-integration, compatibility, security, performance, and multi-platform issues.
• Experience assessing feasibility and carrying software from requirements through production sustainment.
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture, secure SDLC, requirements, design, coding, CI/CD, release, configuration, documentation, monitoring, and sustainment.
• Knowledge of static code analysis, DISA Application Security and Development STIGs, OWASP Top 10, software assurance, FOSS/SBOM governance, and CCB approval.
• Ability to direct developers and coordinate with mission owners, security, systems, networks, databases, enterprise architecture, and operations.
• CompTIA Security+ is required.

Responsibilities

Ignite is currently seeking a driven Development Lead to join our team supporting the U.S. Army on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This position is expected to be onsite. The Development Lead will direct secure design, development, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, and retirement of applications. The portfolio includes GOTS, MOTS, COTS, legacy, web, data, workflow, knowledge-management, and digital-engineering solutions operating in classified and unclassified environments.
The Development Lead will serve as the highest-level software technical authority, lead developers through complex multi-platform integration challenges, enforce secure engineering and configuration practices, and ensure software products satisfy mission, quality, RMF, data-rights, documentation, and operational requirements.

Job Requirements

• Development, staging, pre-production, production, and training environments on classified and unclassified infrastructure.
• Relevant secure-development, Microsoft/.NET, cloud/platform, database, DevSecOps, or application-security certifications are preferred.
• DoD 8140/DCWF-aligned qualification; FITSP-D, SSCP, CISSP-ISSEP, or equivalent preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements: Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SCI and SAP eligible)
