Ignite is currently seeking a driven Development Lead to join our team supporting the U.S. Army on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This position is expected to be onsite. The Development Lead will direct secure design, development, integration, testing, deployment, sustainment, and retirement of applications. The portfolio includes GOTS, MOTS, COTS, legacy, web, data, workflow, knowledge‑management, and digital‑engineering solutions operating in classified and unclassified environments.
The Development Lead will serve as the highest‑level software technical authority, lead developers through complex multi‑platform integration challenges, enforce secure engineering and configuration practices, and ensure software products satisfy mission, quality, RMF, data‑rights, documentation, and operational requirements.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead architecture, design, development, integration, testing, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of software products.
- Direct development teams, allocate work, review designs and code, resolve technical issues, and ensure delivery quality.
- Translate mission and business needs into secure, testable, supportable technical solutions.
- Maintain consistent development, staging, pre‑production, production, and training environments.
- Enforce secure SDLC, RMF controls, static analysis, STIG, OWASP, software assurance, SBOM/FOSS, and mobile‑code approval requirements.
- Integrate applications with databases, infrastructure, enterprise services, COTS/MOTS products, and digital‑engineering tools.
- Manage source/configuration control, technical tickets, defects, releases, documentation, licenses, accounts, patches, and operational handoff.
- Coordinate database capacity, performance, reliability, maintenance, and recovery activities with administrators.
- Support vulnerability remediation, incident resolution, change‑control reviews, and Government technical interchange meetings.
- Deliver required software, source code, documentation, and related CDRL data with appropriate data‑rights markings.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Ten (10) or more years of relevant software architecture/development experience at the Senior/Lead level.
- Experience independently designing and developing new software products and major enhancements to existing systems.
- Experience leading large development teams and resolving complex systems‑integration, compatibility, security, performance, and multi‑platform issues.
- Experience assessing feasibility and carrying software from requirements through production sustainment.
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, secure SDLC, requirements, design, coding, testing, CI/CD, release, configuration, documentation, monitoring, and sustainment.
- Knowledge of static code analysis, DISA Application Security and Development STIGs, OWASP Top 10, software assurance, FOSS/SBOM governance, and CCB approval.
- Ability to direct developers and coordinate with mission owners, security, systems, networks, databases, enterprise architecture, and operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- C#, .NET Framework/.NET, Angular, jQuery, PowerShell, Python, Java/OpenJDK, SQL Server, IIS, and modern web/API patterns.
- Azure DevOps Server, Git, Visual Studio, Fortify, automated testing, deployment pipelines, source control, and release management.
- SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Power BI, SBM, Laserfiche, Army 365, Palantir Foundry, and Army Vantage.
- MagicDraw, DOORS, Windchill, Teamwork Cloud, Syndeia, MBSE integrations, and digital engineering.
- Development, staging, pre‑production, production, and training environments on classified and unclassified infrastructure.
- Relevant secure-development, Microsoft/.NET, cloud/platform, database, DevSecOps, or application‑security certifications are preferred.
- DoD 8140/DCWF-aligned qualification; FITSP-D, SSCP, CISSP-ISSEP, or equivalent preferred.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SCI and SAP eligible)
Education Requirements:
- Permitted substitution: BA/BS with 12 or more years of relevant experience.
