Job summary

DoorDash Kitchens is seeking a motivatedKitchen Assistant to join the development kitchen. You will assist with daily food prep, maintain a clean, organized kitchen, and support the development team with projects.

You will handle inventory, ensure FIFO accuracy, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant kitchen experience, ServeSafe certification (or willingness to obtain), and a keen eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 1 year+ experience as dishwasher, prep cook or line cook in high-volume kitchen environments.
• Experience receiving and organizing inventory using FIFO.
• Experience preparing food from scratch, making hot and cold sauces, and basic knife skills.
• ServeSafe certification (or willingness to become certified).
• Highly organized, able to work under pressure, with speed and accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn new concepts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean kitchen area and organization during shift.
• Receive, organize, and distribute cookware and inventory.
• Prepare food from scratch and assist with daily prep and projects.
• Maintain proper sanitation and storage of foods; report shortages.
