Job summary

GGP in Chicago is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the Accounting function on project-based work. You will be trained and mentored, collaborating with interns, managers, and leadership. The role includes presentation of project findings to the executive team.

Interns join a collaborative culture, work with a mentor on a project, and network through organized events. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Senior Accounting degree and have strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a Senior Accounting Student with expected graduation Dec 2026–May 2027.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Support accounting policies compliance and resolve issues.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities.
• Prepare reporting including Consolidated Financial Statements, Variance Reports, Balance Sheet Workpapers.
• Reconcile information to aid Year End Close.
• Prepare Journal Entries, Wires, and Reconcile Cash Activity.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.
