Job summary

The ACLU of North Carolina is seeking a part-time Development Intern to join a small team for 10 hours per week in Durham. You will support fundraising, donor engagement, events, and communications under the supervision of the Development Director.

Responsibilities include helping plan donor events, drafting one-pagers and newsletters, and assisting with donor research and database upkeep. This internship offers hands-on nonprofit experience and exposure to fundraising strategy in civil

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of undergraduate education.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow through independently.
• Creative problem-solver comfortable asking questions.
• Experience researching public bios, news coverage, and foundation websites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with donor events, including logistics and outreach.
• Draft donor communications such as newsletters and acknowledgments.
• Support donor stewardship, prospect research, and database maintenance.
• Help with development operations and knowledge management.
