Job summary

Foundation Academies is seeking a Middle School Head Soccer Coach to lead a safe, development-first program that prepares scholar-athletes for progression to the high school soccer program. You will collaborate with the High School Head Soccer Coach, teaching shared vocabulary, tactical principles, and development-focused training to support age-appropriate growth.

The role emphasizes growth, safety, communication, and program alignment over wins, with a stipend and time-structured duties

Qualifications

Valid New Jersey teaching certificate or substitute credential.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching completed before first employment.
Annual NFHS Concussion in Sports and Heat Illness Prevention training.
One-time NFHS Implicit Bias and NJSIAA BeNice training, plus safety trainings.
Criminal-history and employment-authorization requirements completed.

Responsibilities

Lead a development-first middle school soccer program in coordination with the High School Head Soccer Coach.
Teach soccer using progressive drills and age-appropriate expectations.
Provide regular progress updates and align with the high school pathway.
Coordinate volunteers and observation opportunities around the plan.
Ensure safety, eligibility, and compliance for all scholar-athletes.
