Development Engineering Technician
The Development Engineering Technician at Redwood Materials supports research and pilot-scale operations by executing laboratory and manufacturing experiments that drive the development of new equipment, process flowsheets, and sustainable products. This role is responsible for building and maintaining lab and pilot equipment, preparing solutions, conducting wet-chemistry bench experiments, powder handling, and mechanical analyses. The technician monitors and troubleshoots experiments in both lab and high-volume production environments while supporting the development and validation of new metrology systems. Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on laboratory experience, attention to safety, and the ability to follow detailed technical procedures in fast-paced conditions. The ideal candidate is organized, technically skilled, safety-conscious, and motivated by a passion for sustainability and innovation.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
