Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is offering a paid internship at our Tuscaloosa, AL site. The program targets students in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering and related fields.

The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, conducting trials, and analyzing root causes on the production line. Eligible candidates are enrolled in university or a gap year, with at least 3 semesters in a relevant field, and available for 6 months. Start date March 2027.

Qualifications

• Education: Student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related area; equivalent education/experience.
• Fluent in English (oral/written).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and collaborate with different departments (e.g., Supplier Quality, Process Engineering, VOCA, Testing, Logistics).
• Independently prepare and conduct trials with detailed documentation of results.
• Analyze root causes for issues in the field.
• Support short-term countermeasures on the production line.
• Assist in developing long-term countermeasures.
• Support reporting and meetings.
