Job summary

Nbutexas is seeking a Development Engineer to lead technical development from feasibility through 30% design, partnering with development, finance, legal, and EPC teams to advance projects into execution.

You will perform site feasibility studies, energy modeling, conceptual layouts, cost estimating, and support interconnection, permitting, and technical due diligence activities while coordinating with EPC partners and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Systems, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in utility-scale renewable energy, BESS, solar PV, or power infrastructure.
  • Experience with project developers, EPC contractors, or owner-operators.
  • Knowledge of interconnection processes, ISO/RTO requirements, and engineering design tools (AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and commercial teams.
  • PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Compensation
  • $110,000–$140,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
