Job summary

Innovize is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the United States to lead technical activities as new jobs transfer to production. You will ensure that equipment, tooling, and processes are developed, validated, and documented to deliver high-quality products at or below quoted cost.

Under mentorship, you will apply Lean Six Sigma methods, SMED, and CAPA knowledge to optimize setup times, quality plans, and process capability, while interfacing with customers, labs, and suppliers to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing engineering or related role.
• Experience with regulatory standards (ISO, GMP, CAPA) desired.
• Experience with rotary converting and automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical interface with customers, suppliers, labs for new products.
• Ensure new equipment, tooling, and processes are developed, validated, documented.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and SMED to minimize setup times and improve quality.
• Support production transfer to meet cost and quality targets.
• Ensure GMP and ISO13485 compliance throughout development.

Job description

Summary: Ensure that a Job Hazard Analysis is completed on all new equipment prior to release for production use. Under the mentoring of Senior Engineering, provide lead technical role in ensuring that when new jobs are transferred to production, all necessary equipment, tooling, and processes have been properly developed, validated, and documented to ensure consistent production of high-quality product at or below the quoted cost.Duties/Responsibilities include:Under the mentoring of Quality or Senior Engineering, understand and apply the technical tools of Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing during development to ensure appropriate considerations were made with regard to Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), quality plans, process capability, cellular layout, Poke Yoke (mistake proofing), and single-unit WIP.Under the mentoring of Quality or Senior Engineering, follow a scientific approach to process development at Innovize that is based on understanding process input variables, limits testing, process controls, and process capability of the output.Provide the lead technical interface with customers, material suppliers, test labs, and consultants for new products in development.Understand and comply with GMP and ISO13485 requirements. Support the sales team with communicating the value of development runs to customers prior to production.QualificationsTraining/Education/Experience:Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Manufacturing Engineer, Junior Mechanical Engineer, or in a related occupation.Experience/knowledge must include:engineering tech experience in rotary converting and automation in an engineering technician, press setup, and troubleshooting capacity;experience with performance metrics;experience with or ability to learn regulatory requirements like ISO, GMP, CAPA and others; andknowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities.Standard company benefits.
