Job summary

Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute (GMGI) is seeking a Development Associate to advance philanthropic support for our oceans, health, and environmental initiatives. You will conduct prospect research, assist with campaigns, and support donor engagement while coordinating events and managing our Salesforce CRM.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in development or donor relations; proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Salesforce preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years’ experience in development, donor relations, or alumni relations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
• Familiarity with Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth prospect research on individuals, foundations, and corporations.
• Assist in executing fundraising initiatives and donor meetings.
• Coordinate event logistics for GMGI external events.
• Manage Salesforce CRM activities and reporting related to donations and prospects.
• Prepare minutes and documentation for Development Committee meetings.
