Job summary

Gloucester Marine Genomics Institute (GMGI) is seeking a Development Associate to cultivate philanthropic support and advance our mission of science and education. You will assist with prospect research, donor engagement, and fundraising initiatives while coordinating meetings and events with senior leadership.

The role also involves CRM management (Salesforce), data reporting, and collaboration with the Development Director and Executive Director to drive strategic outcomes for GMGI’s programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years’ experience in development, donor relations, or alumni relations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe required.
• Familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
• Familiarity with basic prospect research desirable.
• Demonstrated success working as a member of a high functioning team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth prospect research on individuals, foundations, and corporations to support meetings and cultivation strategies.
• Assist the Development Director in executing fundraising initiatives and campaigns.
• Provide logistics support for prospect and donor meetings and events.
• Manage Salesforce CRM activities related to donations, donors, and prospects; ensure data integrity and reporting.
