Job summary

The American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director in Northern Indiana/Northwest Ohio. This full-time, field-based role includes leading fundraising campaigns, recruiting and engaging volunteers, and securing financial contributions to advance our mission.

The Director will report to the Executive Director, coordinate local donor cultivation events, manage donor relationships, and work with staff to broaden the volunteer network while traveling locally up to 70% and occasionally

Qualifications

• 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University or college degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 70% and some overnight trips; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Drive peer-to-peer fundraising to achieve revenue goals and document results.
• Volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition with orientations and training.
• Build partnerships externally and internally.
• Identify and network with key donors and volunteers and collaborate with staff.
• Cultivate donors to increase engagement and giving.
• Coordinate local donor cultivation events and prospect high-impact donors; handle event logistics.
