Job summary

The American Heart Association is hiring a Development Director for the Northern Indiana/Northwest Ohio region. This full-time, field-based role includes home-office work and travel to cultivate donors, recruit volunteers, and lead peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns in support of our mission.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will build partnerships, engage high-level volunteers, and coordinate donor events while contributing to a comprehensive fundraising strategy across communities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience.
• University/College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel locally up to 70% with some overnight trips; reliable transportation.
• Must have basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive peer-to-peer fundraising to meet revenue goals.
• Volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition for campaigns.
• Build external and internal partnerships.
• Identify and network with key donors and volunteers; collaborate with staff.
• Cultivate donors to increase engagement and giving.
• Coordinate local donor cultivation events and prospect high-impact donors.
