Job summary

Mid-Pacific Institute in Honolulu, HI seeks a Director of Development to lead a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivate donor relationships, and oversee grants and events to support the school's mission.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Institutional Advancement, you will guide a fundraising team, collaborate with leadership, and provide data-driven reports while traveling on occasion to cultivate major gifts and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree could be an advantage.
• Minimum of five to seven years of donor relations and/or development experience.
• Proven ability to lead a fundraising team and manage multiple donor programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and events.
• Lead and support the fundraising team to meet annual goals and long-term financial targets.
• Cultivate and solicit major gift prospects and manage donor relationships.
• Oversee grants and foundation relationships; ensure timely reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with executives, board, and communications to align fundraising with institutional goals.
• Monitor fundraising data and prepare progress reports for leadership.
