Job summary

The Georgia Historical Society in Savannah, GA seeks a Director of Development to advance fundraising, cultivation, and donor engagement. Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in coordinating annual campaigns with donor stewardship and solicitation.
• Excellent writing and editing skills with ability to communicate complex ideas persuasively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interact with donors, volunteers, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee a comprehensive annual fundraising plan with campaigns and events.
• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from corporations, foundations, and individuals.
• Manage donor relations and ensure timely acknowledgements and reporting.
• Lead data management, reporting, and analysis to drive fundraising strategy.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with CEO, COO, board, and volunteers.
• Plan special events and donor receptions to support fundraising goals.
• Oversee membership outreach and renewals for 6,000+ members.
