Job summary

Radnor Memorial Library is seeking a Development Director to plan and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that advances the library’s mission. You will lead annual giving campaigns, major donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, events, and donor stewardship in collaboration with the Library Director, Board, Friends of the Library, staff, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 5-7 years of progressive fundraising experience with a demonstrated record of success in donor development and revenue generation.
• Strong knowledge of donor cultivation, major gifts, grant writing, and stewardship practices.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with donor database software (eTapestry), Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Canva.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive donor information with professionalism.
• Must provide Pennsylvania Criminal History Record, Childline Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Check before employment begins and upon renewal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising plan.
• Work alongside the Executive Director, Board, and staff to align strategies with the Library’s mission.
• Lead all campaigns and events including annual giving, the 5K, sponsorships, and special campaigns.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with current donors and boards.
• Identify prospective donors and leverage board and staff connections to grow the donor base.
• Solicit donations and develop major gift strategies.
• Maintain donor database, gifts, and reporting through accurate records.
• Collaborate with Friends of the Library on development and outreach.
• Develop partnerships with local businesses for volunteer opportunities.
• Represent the Library at local events and with community organizations.
