UnCommon Law seeks a Development Director to lead comprehensive fundraising efforts, shaping strategy and campaigns across foundations, corporates, major gifts, and grants. You will build scalable systems, engage volunteers, and deepen community investment while serving as a public-facing leader for donors and policymakers.

Our Oakland office offers a hybrid model, with potential for fully remote arrangements for highly qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fundraising strategy and campaigns across foundation, corporate and individual giving.
• Oversee grant writing and reporting, and manage multi-year fundraising programs.
• Develop scalable systems and volunteer engagement pipelines to deepen community investment.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, funders, partners, policymakers, and community stakeholders.
