Job summary

YWCA Greater Lafayette seeks a dynamic Director of Development to lead fundraising, donor engagement, outreach, communications, and development efforts with the CEO and Board. The role focuses on cultivating relationships and advancing the organization’s mission through planned giving, grants, and events.

You will oversee a team, collaborate across departments, and drive strategies to expand resources and visibility for the YWCA’s programs and services in the Lafayette community.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in development, fundraising, marketing, or related field.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience developing and executing fundraising, development, or outreach strategies.
• Strong public speaking, written communication, planning and organizational skills.
• Grant writing or grant administration experience is valued.
• Experience with donor management or similar databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual development plan aligned with goals and strategy.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and institutional donors.
• Strengthen donor retention and grow annual, major gift, and planned giving programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with supporters.
• Track donor activity and analyze trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Promote a culture of philanthropy and donor stewardship.
• Assist with grant research, writing, administration and reporting.
• Support revenue-generating opportunities and special projects.
