Part-Time (0.75 FTE, ~30 hours/week) | Hybrid — Fort Collins, Colorado | $48,000-$62,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, demonstrated fundraising success, and performance.
Healing Warriors Program is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to lead our individual giving, corporate partnership, sponsorship, and donor stewardship efforts throughout Northern Colorado.
This is first and foremost a development and fundraising role. Success in this position will be measured by your ability to build meaningful donor relationships and generate philanthropic support that sustains and expands Healing Warriors Program's mission of providing no-cost, non-narcotic care to veterans and their families.
You will work directly with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors, corporate partners, foundations, and community supporters. The Development Director is responsible for managing the fundraising pipeline from initial relationship-building through gift solicitation, stewardship, and long-term retention.
This is an active, externally facing position that requires confidence in meeting with prospective donors, making fundraising asks, securing sponsorships, and developing strategic partnerships. While community engagement is an important component of the role, the primary focus is generating sustainable revenue through philanthropy and donor development.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, business development, sales, or a similar relationship-based revenue-generating role. They are comfortable discussing financial support, building donor trust, and translating community goodwill into meaningful financial investment in our mission.
This is a hybrid position with flexibility for remote work, balanced with regular in-person meetings, donor visits, community events, and organizational activities throughout Northern Colorado.
We are a small, mission-driven organization where initiative, accountability, and results matter. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a direct and measurable impact on both organizational growth and the lives of veterans and their families.
Salary Range: $48,000-$62,000 annually (0.75 FTE), based on experience.
Classification: This position may be nonexempt and may be eligible for overtime pay under the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards Order.
Performance Incentive: In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for an annual performance bonus of up to 15% of base salary. Bonus eligibility is based on achievement of mutually agreed-upon goals, including fundraising revenue, donor acquisition, donor retention, corporate partnerships, monthly giving growth, and other key development benchmarks. Bonus payments are determined using a tiered achievement structure and are not calculated as a commission or percentage of gifts raised.
Bonus payments are made at the end of the calendar year. Employees who separate from employment after earning a bonus but before the scheduled payout date may receive a prorated bonus at the discretion of the organization.
Probationary Period: Employment is subject to a 90-day introductory period.
