The Howard County Arts Council (HoCo Arts), a multi-purpose nonprofit arts agency, seeks a self-directed, outgoing individual for an upper-management position in a small, fast-paced office environment.
The Development Director is responsible for planning and driving fundraising, community engagement, and communications strategies that sustain and grow contributions and revenues in support of HoCo Arts’ annual operating budget and revenue goals. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
The Development Director is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive fundraising, communications, and community engagement activities. The position provides leadership throughout the organization to ensure a collaborative and coordinated approach among the Board, staff, and constituents.

This is a full-time, exempt management position within a community-based nonprofit arts organization. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
This is an in-person, on-site position based in Ellicott City, Maryland. Some evening and weekend hours are required.
