Job summary

Partners In Health in Boston, MA or Remote is seeking a Development Coordinator, Prospect Research to provide full-time administrative and research support to the PMR team. You will conduct donor research, schedule team meetings, process invoices, and manage vendor contracts.

The role requires a degree or 1–2 years in prospect research, strong research and data skills, and comfort with databases and common productivity tools. Commitment to PIH values and social justice is essential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated competence to assess priorities and manage a variety of competing tasks in a time-sensitive environment and to meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect research and due diligence support: identify potential donors and funding sources using public and proprietary databases and other sources.
  • Information management and data hygiene: maintain donor database, clean up organization affiliations and ensure accurate contacts and news articles.
  • Research team email sweeps and request management: manage team emails and project boards with a co-manager.
  • Administrative tasks and vendor management: calendar coordination, vendor renewals, invoice processing, and subscriptions for team development.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards set by APRA International.

Position Title: Development Coordinator, Prospect Management and Research

Reports To: Manager of Prospect Research

Location: Boston, MA or Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Development Coordinator, Prospect Research will provide full-time administrative, and prospect research and identification support to the Prospect Management and Research ("PMR") team. The primary responsibilities will be completing research requests for both individual major giving and corporations/foundations teams, scheduling and attending team meetings and managing administrative duties for the team, such as calendaring, processing invoices and maintaining vendor contracts. This role reports to the Manager, Prospect Management and Research and works closely with the Associate, Prospect Management and Research.

Responsibilities:
  • Prospect research and due diligence research support: Conducts detailed research using public, proprietary or subscription databases, newspapers, published materials and other resources to identify potential donors and funding sources for individual giving, major/principal giving and corporations and foundations; assists with due diligence research requests from Institutional Partnerships, Legacy Giving and Major Gift/Principal Gift teams.
  • Information management and data hygiene: Develops strong proficiency in maintaining and using a donor database and stays current on best practices for recording and maintaining donor information, including but not limited to: organization affiliations clean up and upkeep, data hygiene on ratings, research documentation, contact information and relevant news articles. Updates and organizes our policy documents and folders as needed.
  • Research team email sweeps and research request management: Manages the team email, responds to research request emails and related follow up tasks as needed. Co-manages (with another coordinator), the team project/task management board.
  • Administrative tasks and vendor management: Provides general administrative support for the PMR team, including database maintenance, calendar coordination, annual renewals of vendors, invoice processing, and other admin tasks as required by the PMR team. Also manages subscriptions for the purposes of team professional development.
  • Maintains and upholds the professional and ethical standards set by the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (Apra International).

The starting salary range for new hires in this position is between$56,650-$60,770 /yearand may vary depending on multiple, individualized factors including functional experience and job-related experience.
