Job summary

Deborah's Place seeks a Development Coordinator to support gift processing, donor database management, and fundraising operations. You will maintain donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT, process contributions, generate acknowledgments, and assist with stewardship.

You will collaborate with the Development Director, Grants Manager, Communications Coordinator, and Finance to ensure accurate donor data, event revenue processing, and an exceptional donor experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor database experience preferred.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT or similar donor databases preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Process charitable contributions and maintain donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Support monthly gift reconciliation with the Finance Department.
  • Generate donor acknowledgments, tax receipts, reports, and mailing lists.
  • Assist with donor stewardship activities and communications.
  • Coordinate in-kind donation inquiries and inventory documentation.
  • Serve as staff liaison to the Young Professionals Board.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and mission-driven Development Coordinator to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. Position Summary

The Development Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Development Department through accurate gift processing, donor database management, and administrative support. This role is responsible for maintaining donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT, processing charitable contributions, preparing donor acknowledgments, supporting gift reconciliation, and assisting with donor stewardship activities.

The Development Coordinator also supports the organization's in‑kind giving program and serves as the staff liaison to the Young Professionals Board. Working closely with the Development Director, Grants Manager, Communications Coordinator, and Finance Department, this position plays an important role in ensuring efficient fundraising operations and an exceptional donor experience.

What You’ll Do
Donor Database & Events
  • Process charitable contributions and maintain accurate donor records in Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Process online and recurring donations through multiple giving platforms.
  • Support monthly gift reconciliation with the Finance Department.
  • Generate donor acknowledgment letters, tax receipts, reports, mailing lists, and fundraising data.
  • Support donor stewardship activities and fundraising communications.
  • Assist with event revenue processing, sponsorship payments, and donor database maintenance.
  • Coordinate Development intern assignments for administrative and fundraising projects in collaboration with the Development team.
In‑Kind Giving
  • Coordinate in-kind donation inquiries, processing, acknowledgments, and recordkeeping.
  • Collaborate with program staff to identify donation needs and support seasonal donation drives.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of donated items.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance to interns and volunteers supporting in-kind donation activities.
Young Professionals Board
  • Serve as the staff liaison to the Young Professionals Board.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, communications, and follow-up.
  • Support fundraising, volunteer engagement, recruitment, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Track member participation and support board engagement activities.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, database administration, office administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT or a comparable donor database is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
