Job summary

Yeh Area Group is seeking a licensed General Contractor to serve as an in-house Construction Manager and Responsible Managing Employee. The role collaborates with the development team, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver multifamily ground-up projects on budget and on schedule.

Ideal candidates have a CA Class B license, 4+ years of multifamily residential development experience, and proven skills in contract negotiation and vendor/consultant management, with strong project management

Qualifications

• CA Class B General Contractor's License required.
• 4+ years of construction experience in subdivision/multifamily residential development.
• Experience in contract negotiation and vendor/consultant management.
• Job site coordination of subcontractors experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the remaining permitting process and manage RFP process for sub contractors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Lead day-to-day project management across design, entitlement, permitting, bidding, and construction phases.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to maintain project budgets and schedules.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor construction progress and proactively identify/resolve issues.
• Provide regular updates and reports to ownership on timelines, budgets, and risks.
• Support the long-term scalability of Yeh Area Group’s multifamily housing model.

Yeh Area Group is a privately owned and self-funded real estate investment group focused on the acquisition, management, and development of premier properties across residential and commercial real estate. Based in Solano County, our expanding portfolio includes residential, office, medical office, light industrial, and residential holdings.

We have developed an innovative and scalable multifamily ground-up housing concept, with our first project in American Canyon, CA fully entitled and in late stage building permit review. With this model, our ambition is to make a meaningful impact on California’s persistent shortage of affordable market-rate housing.

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed General Contractor to serve as an in-house Construction Manager as well as Responsible Managing Employee. This individual will collaborate closely with the development team, consultant/engineering teams, as well as sub-contractors to ensure our multifamily ground-up developments are designed and delivered on budget and on schedule.

This role requires prior residential development/construction experience, strong project management abilities, and the ability to oversee multiple stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
