Job summary

Literacy Source is seeking a Development & Communications Manager to coordinate annual fundraising and communications efforts. You will partner with the Development Director, staff, and Board to steward donor relationships, plan campaigns, and manage events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in nonprofit fundraising.
• Experience with appeal writing and event management.
• Excellent verbal, written, and e‑mail communication skills.
• Ability to craft engaging social media posts, flyers and graphics.
• Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders respectfully.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Support Development Director and Fund Development Committee in crafting the annual Development Plan.
• Cultivate and grow individual donor engagement; ensure donor appreciation and stewardship.
• Plan and execute email campaigns and thank-you letters for appeals (back-to-school, GiveBIG, Giving Tuesday).
• Draft and send general fundraising communications; track KPIs and progress to goals.
• Support donor database management (Little Green Light) and reporting.
• Assist with grant applications and reports; maintain SOPs for Development.
