Creating a sense of belonging is at the heart of our work with immigrant students. At Enroot, we strive to create an inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute as a partner in advancing our mission. We are committed to disrupting the oppressive systems and structural barriers that immigrants navigate every day. With humility, we continue to learn, listen, and deepen our commitment to racial equity, grounding our decisions and actions in the pursuit of greater opportunity and justice for immigrant communities. We believe that diverse perspectives strengthen our organization, leading to more thoughtful decisions and better outcomes for the young people and families we serve. Reporting to and in partnership with the Acting Director of Development, the Development and Communications Manager will play a key role in advancing Enroot's mission by supporting fundraising, communications, events, and general development administration. This is a new position at Enroot that will help elevate our fundraising and communications efforts—grounded in equitable, asset-based storytelling practices—while strengthening the relationships and systems that support sustainable fundraising.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and moving fluidly between creative and systems work—one day drafting a donor newsletter, the next digging into Salesforce data. You're a natural project manager who thrives on organization and follow-through, but you're equally comfortable telling a compelling story or crafting donor-facing materials. You like working in a small, fast-paced team where your role will grow and evolve, and you're energized by the idea that your day-to-day work directly strengthens relationships with the people who make Enroot's programs possible.
As a growing organization, Enroot values flexibility and collaboration. While the primary areas of responsibility are outlined below, responsibilities may evolve over time to reflect organizational priorities, team capacity, and the strengths and interests of the successful candidate.
The salary range for this position is $70,000–$75,000 annually. Enroot expects to make offers within this range, commensurate with experience.
This is a hybrid position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role requires availability to work from the office up to three days per week, based on organizational needs. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required to support events.
