Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in nonprofit fundraising communications or related field.
• Proven ability to write donor-facing, campaign and stewardship materials.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Experience eliciting information from internal teams for clear materials.
• Ability to address diverse donor audiences with tailored messages.
• High attention to accuracy in names, data, and program details.
• Collaborative mindset with Development, Marketing, Communications teams.
• Discretion with confidential donor and organizational information.
• Proficiency with CRM, email tools, CMS, and productivity suites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary writer for Development communications to support fundraising goals.
• Write, edit, and coordinate donor updates, appeals, newsletters, and reports.
• Translate program impact into clear, persuasive donor materials.
• Support leadership with talking points, briefs, proposals, and follow-ups.
• Maintain consistent mission language across donor communications.
• Adapt tone for individual donors, institutional funders, boards, and partners.
• Proofread materials for clarity, accuracy, and brand voice.
