Job description

Our Client, a Coatings and Paints company, is looking for a Development Chemist I for their Springdale, PA location.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing Support
• Assisting with lab work in support of trouble shooting production issues
• Filing and updating of formulas in the Oracle ERP system under the direction of senior team members
• Technical/ Customer Support
• Conducting lab experiments to resolve customer questions/concerns
• Evaluating test pieces from line application trials
• Providing both applied and wet samples to customers, both internal and external
• Preparation and submission of samples for long-term weathering testing
• Product Development
• Replacement of obsoleted raw material in existing products
• Formula modifications for cost optimization
• Formula modification based on application changes

Requirements:

• Candidate should have a BS Degree in a technical/engineering field such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering
• Laboratory experience (Industrial lab experience preferred)
• A recent college grad with a chemistry degree would be a likely candidate, so 0-3 years experience
