Job summary

Northwood Ravin is seeking a Development Associate in Charlotte or Durham to support the full lifecycle of multifamily development. You will work on market research, underwriting, design approvals, budgeting, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.

The role requires 3+ years in real estate development or related fields, with proficiency in Excel and ARGUS, and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in real estate development, finance, construction, or related field.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, Business, Urban Planning, or related discipline preferred.
Proficient in Excel; comfortable with ARGUS and project management platforms.

Responsibilities

Support site selection and due diligence through market research and feasibility studies.
Maintain financial models, underwriting, budgets, and track development costs.
Coordinate permitting, entitlements, design approvals, and consultant activities.
Monitor construction progress, RFIs, draws, change orders, and cost tracking.
Collaborate across Development, Construction, Property Management, Asset Management and leadership.
