Job summary

San Francisco Community Land Trust is seeking a Development Associate to support fundraising, communications, membership, and community engagement. You will help steward donors, process gifts, coordinate events, manage memberships and volunteers, and support fundraising campaigns.

Working closely with leadership, you will help strengthen relationships with donors, funders, and community partners while maintaining systems that support SFCLT's fundraising success and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, communications, or related admin roles.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and familiarity with Canva, Zoom, PM software and fundraising databases.
• Experience with communities affected by gentrification, displacement, or housing inequity is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain donor database, process gifts, acknowledgments, and reconcile donations.
• Coordinate logistics for fundraising events, donor receptions, and campaigns.
• Manage membership renewals, volunteer engagement, and communications materials.
• Support fundraising plans, grant tracking, and project management systems.
• Help manage newsletters, website updates, social media, and donor materials.
