Apollo Theater is seeking a Development Associate in New York, NY (Hybrid) to support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement, and department operations. The role involves handling a diverse set of projects, coordinating donor communications, and assisting with prospect research and stewardship.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with strong communication and project-management skills, and able to work across departments to advance major gifts, foundations, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in nonprofit development or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day admin support to the Chief Development Officer and Development team.
• 1Support fundraising priorities, campaigns, donor initiatives, and special projects.
• Prepare donor briefs, briefing materials, proposals, and reports.
• Coordinate follow-up from donor meetings and events, documenting next steps.
• Support donor cultivation, identification, and stewardship activities.
• Collaborate with departments to execute fundraising and stewardship activities.
