ABOUT US

The Vellore CMC Foundation's (www.vellorecmc.org) mission is to support the Christian Medical College & Hospital of Vellore, India (CMC Vellore) through fundraising and development initiatives in the United States.

ROLE

This a full-time (hybrid) role based in New York (NYC) for a dynamic candidate to support the Vellore CMC Foundation's efforts to develop, cultivate, and manage its donors; support its volunteer workers; assure adherence to campaign time schedules; and carefully maintain the organization's database of donors and prospects. This individual will also play an integral role in supporting the Foundation's communications strategies through print, online and social media. This position is a hands-on role. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills, complemented by a true dedication to the Foundation's mission and ability to responsibly steward the organization's charitable relationships.

The Development Associate will,

• Manage and maintain the organization's donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date donor information and timely generation of development reports
• Manage donor acknowledgment and recognition, including thank‑you communications and other recognition initiatives
• Support the development and management of marketing materials including social and print media
• Ensure the Foundation's website content is updated

SALARY

USD $50,000 - $60,000 / year

REQUIRED SKILL SETS

• Bachelor's degree w/minimum of two years' experience, ideally within a nonprofit communications or fundraising environment
• Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to plan and implement a social media campaign
• Experience working with a Donor Relationship Management (DRM) systems such as DonorPerfect is a plus
• Knowledge and experience of website building tools like WordPress is a plus
