A leading healthcare organization seeks a Development Associate to enhance donor engagement and support fundraising initiatives. This role involves building relationships with key stakeholders and assisting in community programs. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and relevant experience in nonprofits or similar fields.
Location:
Rosedale Office BuildingUnder the guidance of the Director, Development Strategy, the Development Associate will assist with programming logistics within the Cook Children's Health Foundation. The Associate will be responsible for activities that help to strengthen donor engagement with Cook Children's. The Associate will build and maintain effective working relationships and establish rapport with key constituents, including employees, parent groups, patient families, and donors. They will provide support for signature events, community programs such as Experience the Mission (ETM), and donor giving societies. This position offers valuable opportunities to learn the basic components of a comprehensive development program. It supports the donor engagement team and reports directly to the Director, Development Strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Preferably 3 years of experience with nonprofits, events, marketing, sales, or similar fields to effectively communicate with donors and prospective donors. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with physicians, senior leadership, administration, and outside vendors.
Strong organizational skills are essential due to the detailed nature of the position.
Must work well in a team setting and be self-motivated to meet deadlines.
