Job summary

Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences Development team seeks a Development Assistant to support frontline gift officers and advance the philanthropic mission. This full-time role offers opportunities to learn about alumni engagement and university fundraising.

Responsibilities include data gathering, preparing outreach materials, and producing reports while collaborating with colleagues across AA/Development. Some duties may occur off campus in Cambridge, MA.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related experience (education may count toward experience).
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills in a PC environment and ability to learn new software quickly.
• Availability to work additional evening hours if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supports frontline gift officers with prospect management and data maintenance.
• Prepares meeting and solicitation materials for prospect meetings.
• Maintains and analyzes reports on gift and donor totals using Advance and QlikView.
• Coordinates travel and scheduling for fundraising officers; assists with meeting notes.
