Job description

Overview

Staffing Technologies has partnered with a beloved Arts and Cultural center in the Pacific Northwest in their search for a contract Development Assistant. This position offers exposure within a leading local arts nonprofit in the Development Department, with a progressive work culture and a art-loving environment. The contract duration begins mid-October 2024 and ends January 2025, with potential extension.

Location: Portland, OR area. Salary range noted in posting: $46,000.00 - $48,000.00.

Responsibilities
  • Gift processing functions: entering and recording gifts, producing invoices and receipts, writing and mailing acknowledgement letters, tracking recognition, maintaining and updating donor records, and reporting.
  • Draft proposals and donor communication materials. Produce proposal packets and gift agreements.
  • Support engagement activities including, but not limited to: pulling invitation lists, drafting and sending event invitations (print and Mailchimp), tracking RSVPs, onsite support including check-in/greeting, submitting vendor invoices, and coordinating post-event thank you messages.
  • Other duties may include maintaining donor files; answering telephone calls/emails; and receiving and distributing mail and correspondences.

  • Strong attention to detail, including a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to be discreet in managing confidential information.

Education Formal & Informal Experience
  • At least 1 - 2 years of administrative work experience.
  • High level of proficiency with Google suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe.
  • Donor database experience preferred (Blackbaud Altru or Raiser’s Edge preferred).
