Overview

Position Title: Development and Marketing Manager

Basic Functions: Responsible for planning, implementing, and managing all development, marketing, and outreach activities in support of the mission and strategic goals of the Center. This role combines fundraising, event planning, marketing strategy, and outreach to increase child abuse awareness and financial support for the Center and its programs.

Supervised by: Executive Director

Responsibilities
  • Development and Fundraising:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy focused on major gifts, mid-level giving, planned/estate giving, annual gifts, capital gifts, and corporate sponsorships.
    • Oversee prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
    • Secure sponsorships and in-kind donations from individuals, businesses, and corporations.
    • Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
    • Manage a donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  • Marketing:
    • Develop and execute a marketing plan focused on strategy, research, goals, audience, insights, tactics, timelines, and metrics.
    • Manage digital marketing efforts including website, email newsletters, and social media.
    • Develop marketing materials such as brochures, annual reports, press releases, and PSAs.
    • Coordinate media outreach and public relations efforts.
    • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
    • Engage in child abuse prevention community partnerships.
    • Present in community settings to educate the public about the Center’s mission.
    • Represent the Center at community events hosted by partnering agencies.
    • Assist with abuse prevention education programs and trainings for children and adults.
  • Other:
    • Participate in staff meetings, committee work, and other organizational activities as needed.
    • Complete all required training and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Three years of experience in a development or fundraising role
  • Three years of experience with event planning
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating relationships
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent business and professional writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Comfortable interacting with children and adults
  • Experience managing an organization’s social media accounts
  • Experience with graphic design software
  • Experience with donor management software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn new systems or software
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Criminal background checks required
