Job summary

United Against Human Trafficking is seeking a Development and Communications Manager to provide administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Executive Director and staff across Development, Programs, Communications, and Board relations. Job description

Objective:


The Development and Communications Manager provides administrative, operational, and coordination support to the Executive Director and staff across multiple departments including Development, Programs, Communications, and Board relations. Responsibilities include daily office functions, donor and grant support, event coordination, and communications assistance.


Administrative Responsibilities:



  • Provide fundraising support to the Executive Director

  • Attend New Beginnings Breakfast Committee Meetings, Development Committee Meetings, Staff Meetings, and Leadership Meetings, Program events and photograph activities at program events

  • Provide day-of support for events and organizational activities

  • Prepare Social Media content and work closely with Social Media Contractor


Development:



  • Manage and update donor database and donor records

  • Prepare and send donor thank-you letters

  • Assist with donor stewardship communications and mailings

  • Support donor outreach and engagement efforts

  • Procure supporting documentation for grants

  • Assist with grant documentation and reporting

  • Support annual donor and grant reporting

  • Assist with preparation for fundraising events and donor engagement activities

  • Coordinate logistics related to donor events and development initiatives

  • Event planning for fundraising events


Communications:



  • Supervise Communications Intern

  • Create flyers, graphics, and promotional materials

  • Assist with marketing and promotion for events and programs

  • Support communications projects and campaigns

  • Assist with newsletters, emails, and outreach communications

  • Coordinate information sharing between departments when needed


Data Management:



  • Maintain and update organizational databases including DonorPerfect, Apricot, and Volgistics

  • Run reports to support Development, Programs, and leadership needs

  • Compile and organize data for internal tracking and reporting

  • Create charts, graphs, and presentations to communicate data insights

  • Assist with preparing reports and presentations for Board meetings, leadership meetings, and development updates

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems

  • Support tracking of donors, volunteers, program participation, and event outcomes

  • Ability to support communications efforts including basic graphics, emails, and outreach

  • Attend Annual staff development retreat

  • Coordinator Team Meetings once a month

  • Executive Team Meetings every two weeks

  • Development Committee Meetings as needed

  • Meeting with ED every two weeks

  • Number of class offerings

  • Number of participants

  • Number of facilitators

  • Number of clients in all programs

  • All specified grant metrics
