Job summary

Bates College in Lewiston, Maine invites applications for an Assistant Baseball Coach for Development & Analytics. The role supports the Head Coach in a NCAA Division III program, focusing on player development, mentorship, and data-driven improvement.

You will handle practices, scouting, operating data systems like Rapsodo and HitTrax, generate reports, and help shape game strategy while maintaining commitments to equity, flexibility with schedules, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR & First Aid certification required or preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach in practices and games during the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Assist with opponent scouting before and during the season.
• Operate Rapsodo, AWRE, and Hit Trax systems as needed.
• Apply collected data to the development of all players.
• Create reports and improvement plans for players as needed throughout the season.
• Assist with all aspects of offensive/defensive strategies during practice sessions.
• Must be able to hit a fungo and throw quality BP.
