Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Maverick Golf and Ranch Club near Fort Worth seeks a Development Accountant to oversee development expenditures, reconciliations, and data keeping within the Finance and Accounting department.

The Staff Accountant will partner with the Development Controller, project leadership, and the corporate finance team. This role offers long‑term stability in a well‑established operation and exposure to a structured accounting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Construction or Land/Real Estate Development.
• Prior experience with Sage Intacct is preferred.
• Strong analytical approach and problem solving; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development expenditures, reconciliations, and data keeping.
• Support close processes with journal entries and accruals.
• Assist with annual external audits and internal reviews.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve reporting accuracy.
• Take on special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
