Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Developer Surfaces Lead to drive technical direction for Spark Pro’s developer surfaces — desktop, web, and MCP. You will influence across senior engineers, reconciling approaches into one coherent strategy while ensuring secure, high‑quality experiences from inception to delivery.

You’ll lead through influence, not authority, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with security, DX, and product teams to align with strategic priorities and OKRs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in frontend, desktop, or developer tooling engineering, with increasing responsibility delivering digital solutions, products, and services.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more teams of engineers to deliver technical solutions and meet program objectives.
• Collaborate with program lead, Digital Lead, and Product Owners to align technical decisions with business priorities.
• Represent engineering in program and stakeholder meetings and provide risk-based ballpark estimates.
• Architect robust, scalable solutions across Mac, Windows, web, and MCP surfaces with a focus on privacy-by-design.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DEVOPS, secure coding, and best practices across surfaces.
