Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Developer Surfaces Lead to own the technical direction for desktop, web, and MCP surfaces. You will influence multiple established teams to deliver cohesive developer experiences from inception to completion, with hands-on credibility in Electron and Vue.

You will ensure security-first capabilities and collaborate with cross-functional teams while guiding architectural decisions and edge-case risk mitigation, measured by quarterly DX surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of frontend, desktop, or developer tooling engineering experience.
• Proven capability operating in a DevOps environment and delivering complex software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the top technical authority across the developer surfaces - Mac, Windows, web, and MCP - shaping architecture and implementation.
• Lead lifecycle excellence of engineering projects in line with architectural vision and best practices.
• Maintain secure code hygiene and ensure SaaS configurations meet security and compliance requirements.
• Drive a DevOps culture, enable change while balancing stability and innovation.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and participate in code reviews as appropriate.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Business Architects, Vendors, and Developers to translate ideas into deliverable solutions.
