Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an MS program.
  • Graduating on/after May 2027.
  • U.S. Person required due to contractual requirements.
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder; asylum/refugee status considered.
  • Candidates must not be PRC or Russian nationals unless also a U.S. citizen.
  • 2+ years of experience in quantum-related areas (inclusive of MS program).
  • Graduate coursework in quantum computing, quantum computer architecture, and quantum error correction.
  • Experience implementing quantum algorithms.
  • Strong interest in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and communicating technical concepts.
  • Interest in Guppy and AI-assisted software development.

Job description

We are seeking a part-time Developer Intern in our Broomfield, CO Location. All applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate modular, classroom-ready Guppy educational materials, including examples, notebooks, exercises, and supporting content.
  • Implement representative quantum algorithms and workflows in Guppy using existing frameworks such as Qiskit as references.
  • Review existing quantum computing curricula to identify educational gaps and appropriate entry points for Guppy.
  • Test educational code for technical correctness, reproducibility, and suitability for students.
  • Collaborate with Quantinuum Guppy subject matter experts and academic partners to review and refine the materials.
YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Currently enrolled in a M.S. Program
  • Graduating on/after May 2027
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
  • 2+ years experience (M.S. Program inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: quantum computing, quantum information, quantum algorithms, quantum software development, or quantum error correction preferred.
  • Graduate-level coursework in quantum computing, quantum computer architecture, and quantum error correction.
  • Experience implementing and working with quantum algorithms.
  • Strong interest in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing.
  • Experience creating technical documentation and clearly communicating technical concepts.
  • Interest in developing skills with Guppy and AI-assisted software development.

$34 - $42 an hour

Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $34 - $42 per hour. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
